Directions and Taboos of the Tai Sui for the 2026 (Bing-Wu) Year
January 19,2026
The ancient maxim, "Do not break ground at the head of the Tai Sui," has been passed down for a thousand years. The Taiping Jing (Scripture of Great Peace) clearly elucidates the noble status of the Tai Sui as the God of the Year.
His position is the "Sovereign Seat," and the opposite direction is the "Year Breaker" (Sui Po) sector; neither should be lightly offended.
1. Taboo Against Breaking Ground and Construction
Both the Tai Sui and Year Breaker sectors "should remain static, not dynamic." It is said that in these directions, "construction is forbidden; offending this brings misfortune, theft, or injury."
- Strict Prohibition: In 2026, excavation, ground-breaking, renovation, or drilling into walls is strictly prohibited in the Direct South and Direct North sectors. Doing so risks triggering instability in the home's fortune.
- Critical Warning: Special attention is required for the Direct South. In 2026, this is also where the "Five Yellow Lian Zhen Star" (the Star of Misfortune) flies in. Breaking ground here will trigger the Five Yellow affliction, compounding the ferocity and intensifying potential disasters.
2. Taboo Against Noise and Filth
For 2026, the Direct South and Direct North sectors of your home must be kept clean, tidy, and well-lit. Strictly avoid piling up clutter or allowing these areas to become dark and damp.
Spiritual Protection: Putting People First
Beyond understanding the taboos of direction, we must prioritize the human element. Those born in the years of the Horse, Rat, Rabbit, and Ox are clashing with the Tai Sui in 2026 and must be exceptionally vigilant.
Following the thousand-year-old Taoist liturgy, the Purple-Robed High Priest of Longhu Mountain, Master Wang Luohai, will erect the altar and perform the rites to dissolve disasters for the faithful.
On February 4, 2026, the "Pacify the Tai Sui Blessing Ceremony" will commence. We sincerely invite believers from all directions to bathe in divine grace, dissolve impending calamities, and welcome auspiciousness and blessings.
