Purple-robed Grand Master Wang Luohai

  • Grandmaster Wang Luohai was ordained into the Taoist priesthood at the Celestial Master’s Mansion on Longhu Mountain in 1995 and began his discipleship under He Dinghuan, the Grand Judge of the 63rd Celestial Master’s Mansion.

Purple-robed Grand Master Wang Luohai is a renowned High Priest of the Zhengyi School of Taoism. He is a direct disciple of Taoist Master He Dinghuan, the Grand Judge of the 63rd Celestial Master's Mansion. The Grand Judge is the highest liturgical authority who performs rites on behalf of the Celestial Master.

He was ordained into the Taoist priesthood at the Celestial Master's Mansion on Longhu Mountain in 1995 and graduated from the Chinese Taoist College in 2003. As the direct lineage holder to the Grand Judge, Daoist Master Wang Luohai has served with the utmost dedication. He was appointed the first Director of the Management Committee of the Celestial Master's Mansion and served for many years as the Head of the High Priests' Liturgical Group. In this capacity, he comprehensively presided over all liturgical and ritual affairs of the Celestial Master's Mansion and was responsible for transmitting, teaching, and restoring the sacred rites of the Way of the Celestial Masters.

In 2017, all twenty-four sacred talismans featured in China's inaugural Grand Talisman Exhibition were respectfully hand-drawn by Daoist Master Wang Luohai. He simultaneously participates in academic Taoist symposiums to promote the spread of Taoist culture. In 2018, he was appointed as the Ritual Master for the first Zhengyi School Ordination Ceremony in Shanxi Province, where he guided and standardized the ceremonial procedures. Subsequently, he has served successively as the Abbot of Lingshan Zhide Palace, the Zhengyi Temple of Longhu Mountain, and the City God Temple of Longhu Mountain. He is a Daoist Master of profound scholarly achievement and wide-ranging influence within the field of Taoism.

Today, Grand Master Wang Luohai presides over LonghuTao as our Chief High Priest. Following the core philosophies of "The Tao Follows Nature" and "The Unity of Heaven and Humanity," he wishes to help resolve troubles for sincere believers both at home and abroad, allowing friends from all over the world to experience the charm of Chinese Taoist culture.
